Short Bio
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Division of Civil Engineering at the University of Cambridge, where I lead a project focused on quantifying equity, diversity, and inclusion issues in active mobility. Through a series of experiments, I examine the factors impacting various groups within cycling facilities, including shared spaces, bike lanes, and on-road facilities. Additionally, I am a member of the Standing Committee on Bicycle Transportation (ACH20) within the Transportation Research Board (TRB) for the period of 2024-2027. I have a background in Civil Engineering, specializing in Transportation Engineering. My research revolves around augmenting cities' sustainability and cyclist-friendliness. I concentrate on quantifying cyclists' perceptions of comfort and safety, particularly in interactions with other vulnerable road users across sidewalks, bike lanes, and shared spaces. I am particularly intrigued by the implications of emerging micro-mobility, such as electric bikes and scooters, on perceived comfort in shared public infrastructure and their impact on cyclists' and pedestrians' experiences. |
